Hi Visitors,
I am Jamie McCoard. My family and friends might tell you that I am mentally exhausting, while I define that as being creative, energetic, and an idealist. They may also say that I have a unique way of communication. They call it Jenglish, for Jamie’s English. I say that my mouth doesn’t catch up with my thoughts and so I stumble. I bet you’ve done this before, where you mix up the first couple letters in a paring of words. For example, nice pants become pice nants or sit down is dit sown. Sometimes I flip words in sentences for example “My cold are feet!” and “Have nice a day!” I also jump topic a lot. I lose my husband with this one all the time. Earlier in the day I talk about going shopping to get socks for the kids and then later that evening I say something like “I wonder what size I should get” at a random point. I think outside the box and always take a step back approach to situations. I hope to create the world’s best program, write a book, and/or create a work of art. Yes, I know I am a dreamer.
Personal Bio:
I am proud to be born in 1976 in the Japanese zodiac year of the dragon, and not just any dragon—the fire dragon. I’m not of oriental descent; I just have a thing for dragons. I was raised in Clinton, Utah during the first quarter of my life and moved to Leesburg, Virginia when I was 25 with my husband Casey. We have since had two children, my daughter Kylee and my son Traven. We have a Bernese mountain dog, Nyna, and look forward to having more family pets.
Along with being a mother I am a .Net developer, science fiction & fantasy lover, RPG gamer, and a Star Trek fan. I enjoy being completely crazy with my kids, dreaming, writing, taking pictures (I’m not a photographer), troubleshooting code, reading, dragons, and spending time with family and friends.
Technical Bio:
I have been a day dreamer since I was born, but only a programmer since 2002. Before programming I was a web developer and before that I copied code from a Commodore 64 magazine and attempting to improve on it. Computers are very natural to me and I constantly wish I was integrated into technology (like Neo from Matrix). I am a big fan of the Microsoft development tools and environment. I especially love Silverlight and WPF. I am not anti-(anything), because if it’s technology it always has a place in my heart.

I would love to hear from you in general and if you find anything of awesomeness in my blog I demand that you tell me about it. Please use the contact form or send me an email dreamer at mccoard.net.
Enjoy your day!
